Terms and Conditions

1. Reservation
A non-binding reservation may be made through our website or by faxing or mailing the reservation form. Upon receipt of your reservation we will hold your position in that tour for 7 days. If your tour departs less than 30 days from your reservation date, we can only accept a confirmed reservation with payment as described in number 2 below.

2.Confirmation: A deposit of $200 per person per tour and the completed confirmation form are required at the time of confirmation of the reservation. The deposit must arrive within 7 days (10 days for customers residing outside of US or Canada) upon submission of reservation form, or your booking will be automatically cancelled. Tours booked less than 30 days from your reservation date must be paid in full at the time of reservation. A signed confirmed itinerary and release form must be returned to our mailing address no later than 20 days prior to departure.

3.Payment:
a) The deposit forms part of your final payment. Final payment of the total tour fare is due 20 days prior to the departure date. If your payment is not received by the due date, the reservation will be subject to cancellation without notice and the deposit will be forfeited. If the reservation is made within 20 days before departure, full payments by certified check or bank draft only must be sent in by courier immediately upon confirmation. We accept check or wire transfer payment for tour deposits and payment as per the instructions below:

d) Note: Your Financial Protection
All monies paid by the Client under this contract, except insurance premiums, are immediately deposited into a Clients' Trust Account. These monies are not released to the Company until your tour has been completed or the services comprising your tour have been paid for in full by the Company. This fully complies with US law, as defined in The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tour Regulations 1992, and is for the protection of you, the consumer.

3. Cancellation :
a) All cancellation requests must be done through fax or mail. Telephone / verbal cancellation is not accepted. Once reservation is confirmed, deposit paid is 100% non-refundable. The following per person cancellation fees apply:

60-41 days------------------prior to departure 20% of the tour cost per person
40 -15 days------------------ prior to departure: 50% of the tour cost per person
14 – 8days------------------- prior to departure:90% of the tour cost per person
7 days within departure date or no show: 100% forfeiture of the tour price per person
Trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended.

b) Should fewer than 6 people have signed up for the tour (except marked tailor-made tours) or due to the circumstances beyond company’s control, Unique Asian Tours, reserves the right to cancel the tour. If Unique Asian Tours cancels a tour, an alternate tour will be suggested. If that tour is unacceptable, we will refund all monies paid to the Unique Asia Tour; there is no additional liability. Unique Asian tours cannot assume responsibility for any additional costs or fees relating to the issuance and/or cancellation of air tickets or other travel arrangement not made through Unique Asian Tours.

c) Cancellation fees apply to extra nights prior to and after the tour. For any changes you make to your reservation within 60 days of departure that affect destination, departure date, program extension and/or traveler names, a $50 per person administrative charge applies, in addition to any other fees imposed by airlines, hotels

d) Revision fee. A handling fee of $ 30 per person will be charged for any alterations or revisions. Spelling corrections to clients’ names after air tickets have been issued will be subject to airline revision fees. Courier delivery costs will also apply if any changes are necessary within five weeks prior to tour departure. A change of tour date or tour itinerary within 65 days of departure will be treated as a cancellation and new booking; regular cancellation fees apply. Transfer of booking to another person may be accepted, subject to an administration fee of USD80 per person, provided the air tickets have not been issued.

4.Documents: Documents for all tours will be sent at approximately 20 days prior to departure via express delivery. If you reside within the USA (excluding Alaska and Hawaii) the delivery cost is already included in your tour price. If your documents need to be delivered to an address in Alaska or Hawaii, or any address outside the USA or Canada, a document delivery fee of $30 per shipment will be added to your invoice. It is the clients own responsibility to obtain passport and travel visa. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months at the time of visa application.

5. Refunds for unused services: No refunds will be made for unused services once travel arrangements have commenced.

6.Passports & Visas. Please mail a photocopy or email a pdf of your party's passports so that we can complete bookings in China. When confirming receipt of your deposit we will send a trip dossier with further information about baggage allowances, appropriate clothing, vaccinations etc. As soon as your party's visa numbers are available please also send these. 7. Travel Insurance
Unique Asian Tours strongly recommends the travelers undertake travel insurance that includes trip cancellation interruption or delay, lost or damaged or delayed baggage, medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, worldwide travelers assistance and accidental death coverage. This travel insurance plan must be purchased no later than the final payment due date for your trip.

8. Health requirements
Any disability requiring special attention must be reported at the time of booking. Our company will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the special needs of disabled tour participants, but is not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, lodges, restaurants or other independent suppliers. Motorcoaches and mini-buses are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. Travelers who need assistance must be accompanied by a qualified companion. The Company reserves the right to exclude participants whose health, mental condition, physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation of the tour or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other tour participant.

9. Claims and Refunds
Except for verifiable extenuating circumstances refunds are not made for any missed tour services. For verifiable claims to be considered they must be received in writing within 30 days of the termination of the tour and be accompanied by supporting documentation. Any adjustment considered will be based on the actual cost of the services involved and not on a per diem basis. Adjustments will not be made for unused sightseeing trips or meals. Unique Asia Tours, will not accept liability for any claims that are not received within 30 days of the
termination of your tour.

10. Photography on tour
Unique Asian Tours reserves the right to take photographs throughout the duration of the tour or part thereof, and to use the resulting photographs to promote Unique Asian Tours services. By booking a tour with Unique Asian Tours, tour members agree to allow their images to be used in such photographs. Tour members who prefer that their images not be used are asked to identify themselves to the tour director at the beginning of the tour.

11.Limits of responsibility
a) Unique Asian Tours, purchases transportation, hotel accommodation, restaurant services and other services from various independent suppliers that are not subject to its control. Unique Asian Tours, cannot, therefore, be liable for any damage which may occur due to (1) any act or omission of such a supplier, or (2) defects in failures of any aircraft, vessel, automotive vehicle or other means of transportation that is not under its control. The transportation companies shall be exempt from all liability in respect of any detention, delay, loss damage, sickness or injury however and by whomever caused. Unique Asian Tours, shall not be liable to the clients for any loss or damage to any luggage or other injury or illness suffered by the client provided that Unique Asian Tours, has exercised due care and attention.

b) Unique Asian Tours, reserves the right to adjust prices without notice to reflect fluctuations in the Foreign Exchange markets. Unique Asian Tours, also reserves the right to withdraw a tour or any part of it, to make such alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary or desirable, to refuse to accept or to retain as a member of the tour any person at any time, and to pass on to tour members any expenditures or losses caused by delays or events beyond its control.

c) The tour price does not include meals not specified in the itinerary, laundry, liquor, excess baggage charges, usage of telephones, personal, health or baggage insurance, items of a personal nature and any items not specifically listed as included.

d) Unique Asian Tours accepts no responsibility for value, reliability, quality or authenticity of any goods purchased while on tour or for any mailing, freight or shipping arrangements.

12.General Conditions:
a) Tour Price: All tour prices are in US dollars and are based on tariff and rates of currency exchange in effect at the time of printing. These rates are subject to change without prior notice as deemed necessary and fair by Unique Asian Tours.

b) Air Transportation: Air transportation for all tours are based on round trip economy class. Unique Asian Tours. endeavors to follow the itineraries precisely; however, if flights are not available at the scheduled time, we reserve the right to modify the air and land arrangements for smooth operation of the tour. All airfares are subject to change without notice.

c) Hotels and Room share: When the hotel listed in the brochure is not available, the same category hotel or better will be substituted. We offer assistance in arranging room shares but cannot guarantee that one will be available. Singles who wish to share with another should request this at time of booking and will be booked as a single but willing to share if possible. If at departure there is another person willing to share then the single supplement will be refunded.

d) Baggage: For traveler’s convenience, baggage allowance is suggested to one piece per person each for check-in and carry-on baggage. For baggage allowance on international flights, refer to your airline tickets. Excess baggage charge and insurance is at owner’s responsibility.
